Draft with Templates

Using "Draft with Templates"

The "Draft with Template" feature is within the Haiku Al Assistant that allows you to generate new documents by combining a selected template with one or more source files. This feature is designed to streamline document creation by leveraging existing content.

To generate a new document using a template and source materials:

  1. Al Assistant: Click on Al Assistant in the Navigation Pane.

  2. Add Files: Click 📎 (add Files) and upload or select one or more source files that contain the content you want to incorporate.

  3. Apply Template: Click Apply Template to upload or select the file you want to use as a template

  4. Send a Prompt: In your prompt specify the areas in which you'd like Haiku to focus when drafting with your template.

    1. Example: Please draft a new motion to dismiss using the provided template and complaint documents. Your goal is to create a well-structured and persuasive motion to dismiss the complaint in the case of Ronald Wright and Patricia Wright v. Discover Financial & John T. Greene. To do this, please carefully review the template titled Hasbro, Inc.'s Motion to Dismiss Plaintiff's First Amended Complaint, which outlines key legal arguments for dismissal based on personal jurisdiction, subject matter jurisdiction, and failure to state a claim under Rules 12(b)(1), 12(b)(2), and 12(b)(6) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

Retention Policy Notice

In accordance with the firm's retention policy, all files uploaded to Haiku will be deleted after 30 days, and all chats, including their history, will be permanently deleted after 30 days of inactivity (not sending a new prompt). To maintain a record of your files and chats, please download and save copies to iManage. This ensures that you have a backup and can access your files and chat history even after they are removed from Haiku.
